{happy friday!} Was organization one of your New Years resolutions this year? Well, today I’m going to share a few ideas for Fabric Storage and Organization to help you achieve your organized resolution even in the craft room or where ever you get your craft on!
Fabric Storage
This is how I store my fabric in my craft room:
In my craft room I hung a curtain rod {from Ikea} on the wall and then used curtain rings {you know, the circles with little clips on them} to hang my fabric. Be sure to secure your curtain rod in studs because fabric can be heavy! {this rod may or may not have fallen down in a big heap of colorful threads…. yes, we learned the hard way lol} I like having my fabric out where I can see it and remember all the different prints I have. Plus I think there are less wrinkles being hung vs being folded.
For smaller pieces of fabric and a couple bolts of fabric, Davis made the white piece from an old book shelf we found for free on the side of the road. yeah, you can’t beat FREE!!
Davis used particle board to make additional cubbies in different sizes. {which is soooo convenient for different sizes of scraps} and then painted it white.
