i’ve been hearing about truncating a lot lately, so Saturday morning while i was feeding Baby H bright and early, i decided to figure it out. {for those who don’t know, Truncating is basically adding a Page Break to your post so that only the first snippet of your post is showing on your Home Page. to view the entire post, readers need to click ‘Read More’ to be taken to the rest of the post} i was happily surprised at how stinkin easy blogger makes truncating! here’s the quick how-to:
waaaay to easy, huh?!
from what i understand, truncating helps your posts show up higher in online searches giving you a better SEO {Search Engine Optimization}, helps your blog load faster, and makes computers like your site better. **once again let me remind you, i am not computer savvy gal! i don’t know the technical terms for everything and there’s probably a lot more to what truncating does that i don’t understand. i simply know that it is a good thing for a blog and i wanted to share what i learned so other bloggers in the same ‘technology challenged boat’ as me, can figure it out!}**
happy crafting!
