Homemade Strawberry Lemonade recipe

Happy Monday! I LOVE Strawberry Lemonade. It is my favorite summer sip! Its so refreshing and delicious. And talk about pretty! A couple of you asked for my Strawberry lemonade recipe after the baby shower post. So I decided I’d share my top secret recipe with you….. ok, so its not so top secret, but I’ve tweaked it to get the right amount of strawberry-lemon-sugar ratio so that its a little tart, but berry sweet!

Strawberry Lemonade

Isn’t it the prettiest pink lemonade? mmmmm! I tell you, we chug this stuff. seriously. So I make it in 1 gallon batches….. which last about 2 days around here.

Recipe strawberry lemonade

Doesn’t it look so pretty in the cute little drink holder? The pretty pink and teal look fabulous together! {that drink holder was love at first site. had to have it!}

Pink Lemonade

make strawberry lemonade

It whips up in a matter of minutes and is really easy to make.

Strawberry Lemonade Recipe

2 cups lemon juice {fresh is best, but store bought taste great too}

2.5 cups granulated sugar

2 cups fresh strawberries

12 cups water

Puree the 2 cups of strawberries. {it will measure approx 1 cup after being pureed} Ideally, its best to strain the strawberry puree through cheesecloth to remove the seeds, but I don’t mind the seeds so I skip this step.  Mix together lemon juice and sugar until sugar is dissolved. Stir in water and add strawberry puree. Mix well. Serve over ice and garnish with a slice of lemon or strawberry. {optional} Yields: 1 Gallon

    I love strawberry lemonade! I usually just chop up the strawberries and mix them with my quick stir pitcher. I like getting strawberry chunks once in awhile ;) I love the idea of pureeing them too!

    Deliciously refreshing! I’ve been doing something similar with raspberries instead of strawberries and I also like to change the sugar for honey… But I am going to try your recipe, definitely!

    Holy smokes, this was sweet! I ended up adding an additional 16 cups of water to tone it down, but once it was toned down, it was fantastic! I used fresh lemons that my neighbors gave me from their citrus trees and used our Vitamix to puree the strawberries (& mix the lemon juice and water in with it). Thanks for the recipe! Using it for my husband’s birthday party on Saturday!

    I came across an outstanding produce sale last weekend and scored a ton of fresh lemons for next to nothing. Therefore, I was searching for a lemonade recipe (and I knew I wanted to use strawberries to make it more special.) After looking at several recipes online, I decided that yours was just simple enough and looked fantastic. So, this afternoon, I made your strawberry lemonade, but I made two simple and minor changes. I used 2 1/2 cups of the water and the 2 1/2 cups of sugar and heated them in a sauce pan until I had a simple syrup. I also took the zest of several of my lemons and added it to the simple syrup and allowed it to heat for a few minutes to release the oils. Oh, my Goodness! This lemonade is to die for. I will begin following your blog for the cool craft ideas, but I want to ask that you post some other favorite recipes, too! I look forward to trying them out as well. Thanks.

    So, I’m pregnant and had a crazy craving for Strawberry Lemonade and a friend said she found a good recipe that she wanted to try but hadn’t yet. I already had everything on the list and set to work. I had to halve the entire recipe due to the only 4 lemons I had made 1 cup of lemon juice. I added a bit more strawberry (because I like it that way) and mixed the rest together. Total it took me an hour to make (I had to hand squeeze every lemon, for every drop it could yield) but it was completely worth it. Most delicious strawberry lemonade I’ve ever had and will be able to make for years to come! Thanks so much!
