Happy Valentine’s Day + $50 Hobby Lobby Giveaway!

❥❥❥❥❥HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY! ❥❥❥❥❥

I hope you have a wonderful day and let those closest to your heart, know how much they mean to you!

So today is actually my birthday. I know I know, I was a love baby haha! The most ironic thing about my birthday being on one of the biggest chocolate holidays ever, is I don’t like chocolate. Anyone else dislike chocolate? I’m just not a big fan of it. Weird, I know.

Ever since I started my blog 3.5 years ago, I have had a week long Birthday Bash celebration….Well, this year, being pregnant with my third and having more on my plate than I’ve had previously, I decided a quiet celebration was in order. Plus this birthday just might be my last one in the twenties, so I wanted to savor this birthday as much as possible!

But don’t worry, even though I’m not doing the Big Bash this year, I do have a little something planned for you today, keep reading! :)

Valentine’s Day Card

handmade valentine card

A couple weeks ago, I posted this picture of my Valentine’s Day card for Davis during the Silhouette giveaway. Well, I wanted to show a couple better pics since that one was super last minute and not so hot! AND I think the card deserved a better photo shoot! What do you think?

I used Silhouette’s new Double-sided Adhesive to make this card. LOVE the double sided adhesive! You can have so much fun with glitter, fine beads, and colored powders with it. Simply use your Silhouette CAMEO or PORTRAIT to cut the design in the double-sided adhesive, apply to your surface, then sprinkle on glitter. Too easy!

Best gift was that the local PBS station was having an Old World Antique Auction on TV during valentines week and my fiance (now husband of 19 years) bought me a dressing table. At the same time I was on the phone purchasing him a chest for his tv. We still have both pieces…which will soon have a coat of chalk paint on them.

    LeAnn says:

We’re not really romantics these days (with 4 busy kids) but I remember back to when we only had one and had hoped and desired for nearly 5 years for another child. I found out about a week before Valentine’s Day that we were finally expecting. I kept that secret to myself all that time thinking of how I could tell my hubby. I finally decided to make him a card that said “there’s a WHAT in the oven?!!” Bless his heart, as soon as he read the card, he went straight to the stove to see what was in the oven. I’m sure he hoped to find a chocolate cake but I steered him in the right direction and he was sooo excited!

    Happy birthday!!!

    Maureen says:

Might sound cliche but the most romantic gift were actually two different gifts 4 yrs apart from the same person. The first was tulips anonymously and then after finding out whom they were from and dating this person for 4 yrs an engagement ring. (We have been married now for 14 1/2 yrs).

I hope you had a great birthday! My funniest Valentine’s Day was when my twin sisiter’s boyfriend tried to kiss me and give me a box of chocolate in high school. Man did he ever turn red! My most romantic valentine’s day yesterday, the kid’s went to bed early, and we cuddled and watched a movie on the couch. Simple yes, but very peaceful.

  38. 538
    Alexia says:

I haven’t spent too many valentine’s days with a boyfriend and/or husband, but by far the best/worst gift was from one of my boyfriends in high school. I was collecting dimes in a pop can for a pregnancy center and he gave me a paper bag full of dimes. It’s one of the few V-day gifts in my history I can remember LOL

  39. 539
    Gemia says:

this year my husband left a kit kat bar and a bundle of flowers on the beds of each of our girls (3) to surprise them for valentines. He also gave our son age 2 a candy piece and promised the baby boy, 8 weeks to the day, chocolate milk as he gave me chocolate and peanut butter truffles. Then he made heart shaped waffles. This was a lot from a man we know loves us but does not show it in ways like these. We truly had a wonderful day!

  40. 540

  41. 541

This year my mom bought a box of chocolate for my kids to give me for vday, and they surprised me w/ it, we opened it and ate some. Then, when my hubby home from work, the kids grabbed the opened box and yelled “surprise, look what we got you daddy” I thought it was hilarious that they took it upon themselves to give away my gift.

  42. 542
    Cyndi says:

Sadly, I can’t remember any Valentine’s gifts that stand out to me. Most of the time I don’t get any gifts! But I do love Hobby Lobby and would gladly buy my own gift there, lol!

  43. 543
    Darci says:

The sweetest and best valentines gift I got was from my husband. He got handprints of our two kids and a pawprint of our dog indifferent colors and matted it In a frame. I love that!

The cards I get from my current boyfriend with flowers are my absolute favorite!! He is mister macho and doesn’t always express his feelings so I love the mushy cards at Valentine’s.

  47. 547
    Karin says:

Back in college my husband knew of my love for stuffed animals, particularly dogs and bears. He bought me a giant stuffed dog that was the size of my twin bed at school. He schemed with my roommates and snuck it in to my room while I was in class. I still have the stuffed dog, our kids love to use it as a giant pillow when watching tv.

  48. 548
    Melissa Spencer says:

    I would love to win

  49. 549

Our anniversary is right before valentines day so coming up with 2 romantic gifts in one week is tricky. This year my husband sent me roses at work.
