Gold Ombre Christmas Tree

I am so excited to show off my Dream Tree! This is my very first Christmas tree that is fully decorated {two words: little kids}, has  matching ornaments {not the collection of mismatch ornaments that we’ve collected over the years}, and is really pretty! Don’t get me wrong, we will still have our mismatch tree in the family room! But my dream Christmas Tree is front and center in our entry way.

I’m in love with gold right now, which I’m sure many of you are too! So I decided to do a gold ombre Christmas tree that starts with white ornaments at the top, then cream ornaments, then gold ornaments and a dark bronze at the bottom. Its a very subtle effect, but totally awesome! The ombre gives the tree some depth and draws your eye up to the top.

To balance out the gold, I used natural elements like pinecones, wood snowflakes, and stenciled burlap. Which, let me just say, the holiday line of stenciled burlap ribbon that Michaels has in stock right now, totally rocks!! I am determined to use the stag print this holiday season! {check out the line of stenciled burlap in my Instagram picture here.}

For a simple and easy gift wrapping idea, I used white burlap ribbon to tie bows around the kraft paper wrapped presents. Looks awesome and can be reused on other presents!

I made the ruffled Christmas tree skirt a couple years ago. You can find the Ruffled Drop Cloth Christmas Tree skirt tutorial here.

You can see the ombre effect better with the tree lights off.

Sorry for the wonky lighting! Christmas trees are tricky to photograph….

Christmas Ornaments

Michaels has these gorgeous wooden snowflakes. They are seriously one of my favorite things about my dream Christmas tree! I spray painted them white and they are just perfect. They coordinate with the snowflake stenciled burlap on my tree.

And these glittery gold bows! gah! I kind of did a little happy dance when I saw these. Aren’t they adorable?? Michaels is killing it with the Christmas decorations this year. Lots and lots of great on-trend products. {trust me, I went up and down every aisle multiple times in the last month while putting together this Christmas tree!}

I made a couple Christmas ornaments and I’ll be sharing more about them soon!
