Everyday Farmhouse Mantel

So after having Baby #4, I decided I needed to simplify my life. This meant that going all out for every single holiday just wasn’t going to work anymore. I decided I’d stick with an everyday mantel {as much as possible} and just add touches of holiday decor in key areas of our home. This, my friends, is my Everyday Farmhouse Mantel!

For the most part, my home is decorated with rustic and farmhouse style decor. When I pulled out things to decorate my mantel, it all came together very quickly. It just happened! Usually it takes me months and lots of drafts before I get a spot perfectly decorated. So to bang it out like I did was almost like a freak show. My hubby Davis will attest to my decorating ADD. ha!

This mantel is my favorite! It’s been up for a couple months and I plan to leave it up for a looooong time. It fits with my decor and I love each piece.

 Easy Everyday Mantel decor

I love holidays and I love decorating. Going all out for holidays was something I enjoyed. Until recently, that is. It’s just too much work for this busy momma to haul out all the boxes and redo all the decorating on an almost monthly basis. So for the last few holidays, I have opted to go with simple touches of holiday decor in only a few key areas of our home. And I am totally digging this type of holiday decorating! I guess I am adopting a more minimalistic holiday mentality?! I don’t know!

I saw this sign and had to have it. I came across it right after a friend’s husband died this winter and it spoke to my heart. It was exactly what I needed to hear. So of course, I had to find the perfect spot for it.

Remember when I made Embroidery Hoop Wreaths? Well, this is where I ended up putting my Blessed wreath! It works perfect on my farmhouse mantel. The Hello Wreath is in my entry way. {You have to go check out the Hello wreath! Super cutie!}

Love globes! They are so fun to decorate with.
