I’m tired of not wearing jewelry! With a little man that loves to grab and chew everything, I find that I go sans-accessories more often than not nowadays. So I decided to make some baby-friendly bracelets to add some personality to my wardrobe again. {Wahoo! Now if someone can think of some baby proof earrings, I’ll be set!}
Gray knit fabric scraps from my flower skirt.
All you need is a little scrap fabric to make these. AND they would make great gifts! {Christmas is only 51 days away. ahem.}
Here’s a quick tutorial:
Cut 3 strips of fabric 2″x 12″.
Sew all 3 pieces together.
Braid the 3 strips together. Do it slightly loose so that there is a little ‘give’ to it so you can pull it on and off your wrist.
Pin and sew the ends together when you’re done braiding.
Then sew both ends together to create a loop.
And there ya have it. Simple as that. You could add a yoyo and button, if you want.

Awesome! I just finished making a braided scarf and it's such a coincidence I found this! I have a ton of old tee shirts that I think would be perfect for these, thanks for the idea :)
These are awesome and easy!! I made about 50 in just a few hours! I just used scrap fabric. My grandma just died and her favorite color was purple and we wanted everyone to have some purple on them for her funeral.
That is awesome you whipped out so many! What a great tribute to your grandma. I’m sure they were lovely at the funeral. Thanks for stopping by, Tehren!
happy crafting,
Linda
This is adorable! I’m a teen and I like fabric bracelets but the ones that are in the stores are expensive. So, thanks so much for sharing this wonderful idea! I gotta do some braiding here. :D
