Easy DIY Stripe Wall + Giveaway

Disclosure: This post is brought to you by Walls Need Love. I received free product to try. As always, all opinions are mine!

In our last home, Davis and I painted navy blue stripes in the boys’ room. It wasn’t hard, but it was tedious and time consuming. {You can read more about it here.} When we moved in about 1.5 years ago, the boys’ new room was already painted a light blue, similar to their last room. But I was DREADING painting those dang navy blue stripes again! Enter Walls Need Love {see my instagram} and their awesome DIY stripe wall decals.

Easy Stripes were so easy to put up! It took my friend, Cindi and I just over 1 hour to apply those three stripes! That’s crazy! It took Davis and I an entire night to paint stripes in their last room. If you’re looking to

do a DIY Stripe wall, definitely choose Easy Stripes! So much less time, less headache, and less mess! And I feel like the overall look is cleaner and straighter with the Easy Stripes.

I DIY’d the white and navy stripe curtains and finally spray painted their wooden names that have sat in my craft room for ages. I also changed up the table between the two beds.

How to Add Stripes the Easy Way with Easy Stripes

Supplies:

  • 12″ Easy Stripes in Navy from Walls Need Love
  • Tape Measurer
  • Laser Level {this is a must!}
  • Scissors or utility knife
  • Paper Trimmer

How to add vinyl Stripes on a wall

  1. First, we measured the length and trimmed the Easy Stripes using a paper trimmer. {the paper trimmer gave us a nice, straight edge and cut cleanly.}
  2. Then we used a laser level to apply the stripes in a straight line and used scrapers to remove any air bubbles. I’ve used a lot of vinyl wall decals, and I have to say, this vinyl applied better than any other vinyl I’ve used. It was easy to apply and went on like butter. Loved it.
  3. We used scissors to cut around the outlet and then replaced outlet cover. And we were done!
