Easter Bunny Wreath Tutorial

We are counting down the days until Easter! Easter is a special holiday for us. We look forward to celebrating our Savior’s death and resurrection and how important that is for our family. {If you’d like to learn more about my beliefs, click here.} With that said, we also very much do like to have some whimsical Easter decor around the home!

DIY Easter Bunny Wreath

DIY Easter Bunny Wreath tutorial :: Pretty spring wreath idea!

This is 1 of 2 spring wreaths I made this week. This one is my favorite! I love that fluffy little bunny tail and all the florals. I’ve had the floral ribbon sitting in my craft room just begging to be used. Its the perfect vintage-y floral!

DIY Easter Wreath

  1. Wrap the 18″ wreath form {the larger one} with the floral ribbon and secure end with hot glue. Wrap the smaller 14″ wreath form with the solid pink ribbon and secure with hot glue.
  2. Paint the edges of the bunny cutout white with the craft paint and foam brush. Allow to dry.

3. Lay the wood bunny cut out on the gingham scrapbook paper and trace around it. Then cut out the shape with scissors. Apply the spray adhesive to the back of the bunny scrapbook paper cutout and carefully press the paper bunny on top of the wood bunny cutout. Rub with your fingers to secure and make sure it is flat.

4. Remove 3 silk flowers, 2 leaves, and 2 greenery sprigs from your bouquet. Hot Glue them to your bunny to form a flower crown as shown.

5. Make a pom pom with the white yarn. I used a 3″ pom pom maker. There are many methods to making pom poms, whatever way you prefer is great. If you’re not sure, you can google it or you can purchase the pom pom makers I use here.

6. Hot glue the pom pom to the bunny cutout in place of a tail. Then hot glue the bunny cutout to the smaller wreath form. Then lay the smaller wreath on top of the larger wreath to layer them. Wrap the polka dot ribbon around the top and hang up!
