happy wednesday, crafters!! hope your week is going great. well, i am excited to show you this month’s Craft Kit! these snowpeople {is that a word?? i think it should be} are soooo easy to make and are ridiculously adorable. {in my unbiased opinion. haha}
umm, hello cuteness. i {heart} snowmen! whenever davis doesn’t know what to get me for christmas or my birthday, guess what he buys me….snowmen. yup, i have a soft spot for those icey little guys!
snowmen melt your my heart!
these little cuties are super easy to make. want to make them even easier? buy the kit!
Wooden Snowman Tutorial
supplies:
- 4×6 cut to 6 inches long {included in kit}
- 4×6 cut to 8.5 inches long {included in kit}
- white paint
- paint brush
- black marker
- liquid glue
- glitter
- sandpaper
- fabric for scarfs {included in kit}

- sand the edges of the wood.
- paint the wood white. spray paint or craft paint works great.
- draw 2 eyes with the marker. *tip: i tied the fabric scarf on so i could use it as a reference for eye placement.
4. apply a thick coat of liquid glue to all sides {except the bottom} with the paint brush. i used Decoupaige which acts as a sealer as well.
5. while the glue is still wet, sprinkle on glitter. *Tip: do this inside of a box or a cookie sheet to catch the excess glitter. brush out any glitter that fell onto the eyes.
6. tie on the fabric scarf. and you’re done!!
love them! they are going on my winter mantel. {will post pics next week}

Hi! Is there a reason you used Decoupage glue as opposed to Mod Podge or other ones? Sorry if this is a stupid question — I am just beginning to craft and don’t know what is what.
Hi Maya,
Not a stupid question! I used Decoupage because that’s what I had on hand. Mod Podge would work well too.
happy crafting!

Love this snowman. Did you use 2×4 or 4×6 pieces of wood? Or are they different sizes?
Hi Sue Kelly,
I used pieces of 2×4 in different sizes. Thanks for stopping by!
happy crafting,
Linda
I love the snowmen. I would’nt think a 2×6 piece of wood would stand up by it self. Great easy craft.
